Billingshurst is a large Sussex village with a rich history. The Roman road, Stane Street, passes through the centre and St Mary’s church dates from the 1100s.
There are traditional country pubs for you to enjoy and a variety of shops on the historic high street, which is renowned for its timber-framed buildings.
Close by are Fishers Farm Park, Loxwood Joust, Knepp Wildlife Safari and the Blue Idol Quaker meeting House.
Visit the information point in Billingshurst Library to find out more about the village and surrounding area.

This is the walk we went on. We started at Billingshurst Train Station and walked for 8km on a circular route which took us through beautiful woodland and then back along the high street to see all the wonderful independent shops before heading back to the station.
