at HORSHAM PARK

In partnership with Friends of Horsham Park and Age UK, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, Whistlestop Arts secured Covid-19 recovery funding from Sussex Community Partnership.
The funding has enabled us to research, design and create a Virtual Day Trip focusing on Horsham Park. The main aim is to highlight Covid-19 safe spaces, accessible to all, that encourage residents and visitors to explore Horsham Park and the wider area.
The day trip sessions are based around a bespoke film that we made and include interviews with a wide variety of people connected to the Park. It showcases the many fascinating areas within it; such as the Sensory Garden, Tree Trail, Kaya Café, Pavilions and the Bowls Club, a wealth of diverse opportunities that are available to visitors.

We have been busy delivering Day Trip sessions to small groups of people in Covid-19 safe venues to give participants an immersive experience that increases confidence and connects them to their communities.
As well as these sessions we have put together a mini version for you to enjoy at home, from film clips to our podcast and craft activities.
If you are an organiser of activities in a day centre, care home or similar and would like to use the full set of resources to take your participants on a Virtual Day Trip of Horsham Park please get in touch with us via the CONTACT page to get details of how to download our FREE resource pack.

Welcome to Horsham Park
At Whistlestop Arts HQ we are always keen to start any session with refreshments, so why not pop the kettle on and enjoy a cuppa as you embark on this Virtual Day Trip.
Learn from the experts we met during our visit by clicking on the videos below.
Pause along the way for a creativity break and try the two craft activities, which were inspired by the people we met and the things that we saw.
If you are local why not meet your friends and family at Horsham Park to experience the places we went for yourself. You can also download the Postcard Invitation to print and share this Virtual Day Trip with a friend.
